The Urban Age Public Lectures series is a public debate about the complexities involved in running the powerhouses of today's global economy in an era of economic uncertainty.
Organised by LSE's Urban Age programme, a joint initiative of the London School of Economics and Deutsche Bank's Alfred Herrhausen Society, this annual lecture series seeks to examine how cities function as engines of growth and social integration at this critical moment in the 21st century.
The Public Lectures series extends Urban Age's global outreach to policymakers, scholars and practitioners in London in a public lecture programme held at the London School of Economics.
Each lecture features a high-profile speaker who will give a 40-minute lecture, followed by a one-on-one discussion with a distinguished chair with open discussion with the audience. Internationally known figures from a diverse mix of backgrounds and professions will serve as featured speakers, with LSE academics and policymakers serving as chair.
